[00:00:00] Yes, yes. Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Passion. Happy Easter weekend, everybody. And we are getting into what we know how to do best, which is look at what the Word says. And we are still on our topic, which is the Passion. Glory to God. We are on the Passion, and we're still on part two of the betrayal. So this is the Passion, the betrayal, and we're now going to get into part two. We looked into some very, very amazing and beautiful prophecies and scriptures yesterday regarding the betrayal. We went to the prophet Zechariah where he revealed to us the prophecy of Jesus's betrayal. And we went into that and we broke that down like so beautifully, so powerfully, so many details. It was a big chunk, you know. But I trust that, you know, those of you that participated in that part one, you learned so many things about the betrayal and how significant the betrayal of Jesus Christ is with the events and the plans and purposes of God of between him doing away with the old covenant and the old administration of the old covenant to introduce the new covenant. So that betrayal had a lot to do with God removing glory to God, the old Covenant with its administration and with its priesthood and establishing the new covenant with its new administration, with its new priesthood headed by Jesus Christ. So if you haven't gone through it, we looked into so many beautiful things.
[00:01:33] Just to continue from there, let's start with Matthew, chapter 26. Let's start with Matthew, chapter 26.
[00:01:40] I will read from verse one.
[00:01:42] Then it says.
[00:01:43] And it came to pass when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples, you know that after two days is the feast of the Passover. The Son of Man is betrayed to be crucified. All right, so for the crucifixion to. In order for the crucifixion to take place, the betrayal had to take place according to all that was which was written in the Scriptures concerning him.
[00:02:07] Okay, so he says, you know, that after two days is the Passover and the Son of Man is betrayed to be crucified. Then assembled the chief priests. Now I want you to take to mark this, you know, from our continuation from the prophecy that Zechariah spoke of in Zechariah, chapter 11. And we spoke about the three shepherds that the Lord said that these three shepherds, after three. After a month, I'm going to cut them off after a month. What is he talking about? He's not talking now. He was making reference to what we said in the last. The three shepherds is referring to these group of people that the scriptures are going to refer to us right here. Glory to God. So it says, you know, that after two days is the feast of the Passover, and the Son of Man is betrayed to be crucified. Then assembled together, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people.
[00:02:58] Hallelujah. And the elders of the people. All right, so those three shepherds. So these are the people that were in charge of the administration.
[00:03:06] They were in charge of the administration of the old covenant in Jesus's day. And there was the ones that were the shepherds, the three shepherds that were in charge of the nation of Israel and the children of Israel under the old covenant in Jesus day. Glory to God. And then the prophecy says that the three shepherds, I'm going to cut them off in a month. That means in a short while. Hallelujah. So when, when, when, when, when the staff, one of the staff, one which was named Beauty and the other one which was named Bands, which is the covenant Beauty, that is Jesus Christ, says, I'm going to cut him. I'm going to destroy him. I'm going to break him asunder. And then when I do that, Hallelujah. I'm going to establish a new priesthood, a new administration is going to come forth that is going to now feed the people.
[00:03:48] Hallelujah. It's going to feed the people. Glory to God.
[00:03:52] So that is very important to note. I wanted to open and show you that.
[00:03:58] I'll show you that portion of Scripture. Then assembled together the chief priests and the scribes and the elders of the people unto the palace of the high priest who was called Cephas and consulted, that they might take Jesus by subtlety. All right, by subtlety. And kill him.
[00:04:18] Okay, so that is in accordance with the prophecy. And then it says, but they said, not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people. So this is the administration of the Old Testament that was at the helm in Jesus's day that the prophet Zechariah prophesied that he's going to use this betrayal as a stumbling block and as an accusation for them to be now judged and be removed and be cut off after a month. And then subsequently the temple also will be destroyed according to that prophecy. And then now there will be a new establishment of a new Testament that is established upon better promises, where Jesus Christ will enter into the heaven, into the real heaven, that and the real temple that was not made with hands, with his own blood. Hallelujah. To make atonement for us with his Own blood. Oh, glory to God.
[00:05:09] Okay, so it's What? So the three. The three shepherds. Okay, it's the three shepherds. I'll read from verse Zechariah, chapter 11, from verse seven to eight, this and I'll feed the flock of the slaughter, even you, all poor of the flock. And I took unto me two stars, and one I called beauty, and the other I called bands. Beauty is the Lord Jesus Christ, and bands is the old covenant. And it says, and I fed the flock, verse 8. Three shepherds also I cut off in one month. Three shepherds also I cut off in one month. Who are the three shepherds? We find them here in Matthew, chapter 26. When he says, then what? The chief priests, the scribes and the elders of the people.
[00:05:57] Hallelujah. The chief priests, the scribes and the elders of the people.
[00:06:03] Then they assembled together unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiphas and consulted that that may take Jesus by subtlety and kill him.
[00:06:14] So in this whole conspiracy to take Jesus. All right, in this way, it was a setup by God so that God would now be legally be able to bring judgment upon this administration, this leadership, these three shepherds. And cut them off, okay?
[00:06:34] In judgment, and cut them off. And then subsequently the temple also to be destroyed.
[00:06:40] Why? Because now there's a new administration of a new Testament, okay? Through the blood of Jesus Christ. Glory to God.
[00:06:49] Okay, so it says, three shepherds also I cut off in one month. Zechariah, 11, 8, 3 shepherds also I cut off in one month. And my soul loathed them, and their soul abhorred me. Hallelujah.
[00:07:05] Okay, let's get into the events of the betrayal of Jesus from Matthew, chapter 26. And then we'll go and look at what Mark says.
[00:07:14] Okay? Matthew, chapter 26.
[00:07:18] I'll read from verse 14.
[00:07:25] Says, then one of the 12 called Judas Iscariot went out, went out, went unto the chief priests. Then one called Judas Iscariot. So remember, in the one that we read before prior, they assembled together the chief priests, the scribes and the elders of the people. And they conspired that by subtlety they would now capture Jesus and kill him. All right, and then verse 14, one of the 12, Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests.
[00:07:53] That's one of the shepherds, it says, and said unto them, what will you give me? And I'll deliver him unto you. And they covenanted with him for 30 pieces of silver. They covenanted for him for 30 pieces of silver. Now let's Go to Zechariah. I'll show you how that prophecy. Zechariah, chapter 11.
[00:08:20] Zechariah, chapter11.
[00:08:26] I will read from verse 12. And I said unto them, if you think good, give me my price.
[00:08:34] If you think good, give me my price. And if not, forbear. So they weighed, for my price, 30 pieces of silver. Verse 13. And the Lord said unto me, cast it unto the potter. A godly price that I was prized at of them.
[00:08:51] And I took the 30 pieces of silver and cast them to the potter in the house of the Lord. Cast them to the potter in the house of the Lord. Then One of the twelve called Judas Iscariot, Matthew 26:14, went unto the chief priests and said unto them, what will you give me? And I will deliver him unto you. And they covenanted with him for 30 pieces of silver. These are the chief priests.
[00:09:15] Oh, my goodness.
[00:09:17] And from that time, he sought opportunity to betray him. He sought opportunity to betray him.
[00:09:28] And then verse 17. Now, the first day of the feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus saying unto him, where will you that we prepare for you to eat the Passover? And he said, go into the city to such a man and say unto him, the Master says, my time is at hand, and I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples. And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them. And they made ready the Passover. Now, when the even was come, he sat down with the 12. And as they did eat, he said, verily I say unto you that one of you shall betray me. Verse 22. And they were exceeding sorrowful and began every one of them to say unto him, lord, is it me? Is it I?
[00:10:11] And he answered and said, he that dipped his hand with me in a dish, the same shall betray me.
[00:10:18] It says, the same shall betray me.
[00:10:20] Oh, dear. The Son of Man goes as it is written of him. But woe unto the man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. Woe unto the man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It had been good for that man if he had not been born. How terrible is that.
[00:10:38] Imagine Jesus saying something about that regarding someone. Verse 25. Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, master, is it I? He said unto him, you have said, yes, it is you. Just like you have said so, Judas knew that it was him.
[00:10:53] So Jesus didn't keep that information from Judas.
[00:10:57] He didn't keep that information from Judas. Hallelujah.
[00:11:02] Verse 26. And as they were eating, Jesus took bread and blessed it. And Break it. And gave it to his disciples and said, take, eat. This is my body.
[00:11:09] And he took the cup and gave thanks and gave it to them, saying, drink ye all of it. For this is my blood. This is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Glory to God. Hallelujah. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of the fruit of this vine. Says, I will not drink forth of the fruit of this vine until the day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
[00:11:34] There's a lot to be said about that scripture there, but we won't get into that today. Okay?
[00:11:39] All right. Verse 30. Hallelujah. Verse 30. Now Jesus now foretells, from this time period on, Jesus now foretells Peter's denial. Okay? Verse 30 says, and when they had sung a hymn, they went out into the Mount of Olives. Hallelujah. Then said Jesus unto them, and you shall be offended because of me this night.
[00:12:00] You shall be offended of me this night. For it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad. And but after I am risen again, I'll go before you into Galilee. After I'm risen again, I'll go before you into Galilee. Peter answered and said unto him, though all men shall be offended, hallelujah. That word offended there is what Scandalizo says, there's going to be a scandal. Hallelujah. Around me. There's going to be a scandalous. There's going to be a scandalous. Scandalous things happening. A scandalous environment. Scandalizo. There's going to be Scandalizo. And then you shall be. You shall all desert me.
[00:12:38] And then Jesus. And then Peter said that I will not be offended because of you.
[00:12:44] I will not be offended because of you.
[00:12:46] Oh, dear.
[00:12:47] Yet will I never be offended.
[00:12:51] Peter said, I will never be offended. Verse 34. Jesus said unto him, verily I say unto you that this night before the cock crow, you shall deny me thrice.
[00:13:00] Peter said unto him, though I should die with you, yet will I not deny you. Likewise. Also said all of his disciples, mark that. So they said this thing. Likewise said all of his disciples, we will not deny you.
[00:13:16] Oh. Hahahahaha.
[00:13:20] Verse 36.
[00:13:21] Then comes Jesus with them unto the place called Gethsemane, and said unto the disciples, and sit here while I go and pray yonder. And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then said, Unto them my soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death. Tarry ye here and watch with me. And he went a little further and fell on his face and prayed, saying, o my Father. O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but your will be done. O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me. Nevertheless, not my, but your will be done. And he kept praying. He kept saying these words, oh, my father says, oh, my Father, if it be possible, says, but not my will, but your will be done.
[00:14:14] Oh, glory to God.
[00:14:16] And he comes unto the disciples and find them asleep. And he said unto Peter, what? Could you not watch with me one hour? Could you not watch with me one hour? Could you not pray with me for one hour?
[00:14:27] And then he says, watch and pray that you enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. And he went away again the second time and prayed, saying, oh, Father, if this cup may not pass away from me except I drink it, thy will be done. Ha ha ha. Thy will be done. And he came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy. He found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy.
[00:14:56] And he left them and went away again and prayed the third time, saying the same words, saying the same words. What was he saying? Oh, Father, if this cup may not pass away from me except I drink it, thy will be done, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me nevertheless, not my will, but your will. Your will be done. Not my will, but your will, O my Father. If it be possible, then he comes. Verse 45. Then he comes to his disciples and said unto them, sleep on now and take your rest. Behold, the hour is at hand. And the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise. Let us be going. Behold, he is at hand that betrays me. He's at hand that does betray me.
[00:15:52] Oh, yeah, yeah.
[00:15:55] Okay, let's look at the account of let's look at the account of Mark in Mark, chapter 14.
[00:16:08] Mark, chapter 14. Before we continue with verse 47 in Matthew, chapter 20, let's go to Mark 14.
[00:16:26] One, after two days was the feast of the passover and the unleavened bread. And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft and put him to death. Okay. They sought how they might do this. Take him and put him to death. But they said, not on the feast day, let there be an uproar by the people.
[00:16:43] Okay.
[00:16:46] All right. And then Jesus, there is anoint verse 10. And Judas Iscariot, one of the 12, went unto the chief priests to betray him unto them. And when they had heard it, they were glad and promised to give him money.
[00:17:01] They promised to give him money, and he sought how he might conveniently betray him.
[00:17:07] He might conveniently betray him.
[00:17:11] Okay, let's read the preparation for the Passover that happens and then also the institution of the Last Supper.
[00:17:24] We can go through that very quickly. And the first day of the unleavened bread, when they killed the Passover, his disciples unto him, where will you that?
[00:17:34] Where will you that? We go to prepare that you may eat the Passover.
[00:17:40] So imagine they'll be praying for him to eat the Passover, but he's also now preparing for himself to be the Passover lamb.
[00:17:46] The Lamb of God.
[00:17:49] Oh, my goodness.
[00:17:50] And he sent forth two of his disciples and said, go ye into the city, and there you shall meet a man bearing a pitcher of water. Follow him. So now we give the details of who that man is. All right. And it says, and wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the good man of the house. The Master says, where is the guest chamber? And where shall I eat the Passover with my disciples? And he will show you A large upper room, furnished and prepared, they make ready for us. And his disciples went forth and came into the city and found as he had said unto them. And they made ready the Passover. And in the evening, he cometh with the 12. And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, verily I say unto you, one of you which eat with me shall betray me.
[00:18:28] And they began to be sorrowful. And they said, one with another.
[00:18:32] And they said unto him, one by one, is it I? And another said, is it I?
[00:18:38] And he answered and said unto them, it is one of the 12 that dips with me into the dish. And the Son of Man indeed goes as it is written of him. But woe unto the man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. Woe unto the man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. Good. Were it for that man to. To have never been born.
[00:18:58] Okay.
[00:19:00] And as they did eat, Jesus took bread and blessed and brake it and gave it to them and said, take it, this is my body.
[00:19:06] And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank it. And he said unto them, this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many. Oh, thank you, Lord Jesus. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Verily I say unto you, I will drink no More of the fruit of the vine, until the day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God. Verse 26, Mark 14.
[00:19:32] And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. And Jesus said unto them, all, ye shall be offended, or ye shall be scandalizo because of me this night. For it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered, but after that I am risen, and. And will go before you into Galilee. But Peter said unto them, although I shall be, I shall.
[00:19:53] Although all shall be offended, yet will I, yet will not I. And Jesus said unto him, verily I say unto you, that this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, you shall deny me thrice.
[00:20:05] But he spake the more vehemently, if I should die with you, I will not deny you in any way. Likewise, Also say they all, verse 32. And they came to a place which it was named Gethsemane. So that garden is called Gethsemane. And he said to his disciples, sit here while I shall. While I shall pray. And he taketh with him Peter, James and John. And began to be so amazed, and be very heavy. And he said unto them, my soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death. Tarry ye here, watch with me here, tarry here, and watch and pray. That's what he's saying, verse 35. And he went forward a little and fell on the ground and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass for him. And he said, abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee. Take away this cup from me. Nevertheless, not what I will, but what you will. Oh. And he cometh and find them asleep. And said unto Peter, simon, sleep as thou couldn't you not?
[00:21:05] Could not you watch? One hour says, watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is weak.
[00:21:14] The Spirit is truly ready, but the flesh is weak. Watch ye and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The Spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. And again he went away and prayed and spake the same words.
[00:21:30] And when he returned, he found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy. Neither was they, neither was they what to answer him. They didn't know what to answer him. And he come the third time. And he said unto them, sleep on now. Take a rest. It is enough. The hour is come. Behold, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise up. Let's go. Lo. He that betray me is at hand.
[00:21:55] He that betray me is at hand.
[00:22:02] Okay.
[00:22:05] Luke, chapter 22.
[00:22:08] Luke, chapter 22.
[00:22:11] Luke chapter 22.
[00:22:24] I'll read from verse three. Then entered Satan into Judah, surnamed Iscariot, being the number of the 12.
[00:22:32] And he went his way and communed with the chief priests and the captains, how he might betray him unto them. And they were glad, and they covenanted to give him money. And he promised and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitudes. Okay, and then we have.
[00:22:52] I'll go to verse.
[00:22:55] I'll go to verse 21. But behold, this is Jesus speaking, verse 21. But behold, the hand of him that betrays me is with me on the table. And truly the Son of man goes at his Was determined as it was written. But woe unto the man by whom he is betrayed. And they began to inquire amongst themselves which of them it was that should be do this thing. That should do this thing. And they were. And there was also a strife among them which of them should be accounted the greatest. Now look at this. So now there was a strife that who's going to be the greatest? Who's going to be the leader? Who's going to take over the leadership role after Jesus is gone?
[00:23:32] There was a strife. There was now a division. And he said unto them, the kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and they exercise authority upon them that are called benefactors. But you shall not be so. You shall not be so. But he that is greatest among you, says, he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger, and he that is chief, as he that does serve. For whether.
[00:23:58] For whether is greater, he that sit at meat or at the table, or he that serves, or is it not he that sit at meat? But I am among you, as he that serves ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations. And I appoint unto you a kingdom as my Father has appointed unto me. How glorious is that that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones judging the 12 tribes of Israel. Israel.
[00:24:27] Hi. Yeah.
[00:24:29] That's a very powerful.
[00:24:31] That's a very powerful revelation. When you go to the Book of Revelation and you read about the 24 elders. Okay, that got fulfilled. That got fulfilled right there. Okay.
[00:24:45] Now, Jesus now foretells Peter's denial. Okay? And the Lord said, simon, Simon, behold, Satan has desired to have you that he may sift you as wheat says, but I have prayed for you. Glory to God. Oh, thank you, Lord Jesus. The Lord Jesus Christ prayed for Simon. He prayed for him, says, but I have prayed for you, says that your Faith failed, not says, and when you are converted, strengthen your brethren. When you are converted, when you are restored, oh, glory to God, says, strengthen your brethren.
[00:25:19] Oh, glory.
[00:25:20] So those that will deny you, those that will go behind your back, those that will, those that will betray you, pray for them. Pray for them. This is the example that the Lord Jesus Christ is showing us here how to respond to the weaknesses of others when they come and they do certain things.
[00:25:40] Okay?
[00:25:44] Verse 33, Luke, chapter 22. And he said unto him, lord, I am ready to go with you both into prison and to death. And he said, I tell you, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day.
[00:25:57] Before that you shall thrice deny me that you know me. You shall deny that you know me. Says, the cock shall not cock thrice before you shall deny that you know me.
[00:26:13] Okay? Verse 35. The scripture must be fulfilled. And he said unto them, when I sent you without purse and scrip and shoes, lacked anything, and they said nothing. Verse 36. Then said ye unto them, but now he that hath a purse, let him take it. And likewise his script. And he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one.
[00:26:37] Ah, what is Jesus talking about here?
[00:26:40] Let him sell his garment and buy one. Says, for I say unto you that this for I say unto you that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me. And he was reckoned among the transgressors, for the things concerning me have an end. And they said, lord, behold, here are two swords.
[00:26:59] So Jesus knew that Peter had a sword when Peter cut the ear of the guy of one of the soldiers.
[00:27:09] Because Jesus is the one that instructed him. Jesus is the one that instructed him, says, the time that we're entering into right now, you need to get weapons.
[00:27:19] You need to get weapons.
[00:27:25] So as a child of God, as Christians, Jesus just didn't say, just be exposed.
[00:27:34] Do not be prepared to defend yourself and to defend the cause of the gospel.
[00:27:39] So if the people come with excessive force, he says, you must be prepared to match the same energy.
[00:27:48] This is from Jesus. This is Bible. Now. This is from Jesus, says, you must be prepared. Says, if anyone says, whatever you have says, go and sell it and buy weapons.
[00:27:56] Because right now it's going to be. It's a time of war and the people. And the people.
[00:28:03] Okay, why did Jesus say, let's go to John?
[00:28:07] I think it's so you can read what happened. But I read it to you already, but just to refresh, just to refresh your memory as to why. Jesus said they should prepare like this John 18.
[00:28:37] I'll read from verse 3. Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.
[00:28:50] It was lit.
[00:28:52] They came with weapons, says Jesus. Therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth and said, whom do you seek?
[00:29:01] Okay, we'll come back to this one.
[00:29:03] Okay, But I wanted to show you this. In verse three, says, the chief priests and the Pharisees come thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. So now Jesus now says to his disciples, okay, that's why Jesus now said to his disciples, let's go back there to Luke.
[00:29:42] Luke chapter 22. Then it says from verse 35, says, and he said unto them, when I sent you without purse and scrip and shoes, lackey, anything, and they said nothing. And it says, then I said unto them, but now he that hath a purse, let him take it. And likewise his script says, now it's a. This is a different season now. We're in a different time, okay? We're in a time of war. We're in a time where you need to now put measures in place to protect and to defend yourself and to defend the cause of the Gospel.
[00:30:14] She says, now is the time for you to prepare with all these things. Says, and he that has no sword says, let him sell his garment. So says, go and buy a sword.
[00:30:26] Why? Because remember, the chief priests and the Pharisees, they set Judas with an army.
[00:30:32] With an army. I don't know how many thousand strong. How many hundred strong. Maybe 300, 500 men.
[00:30:41] 300, 500 men. Or possibly even 3,000 men with weapons. They were sent with weapons. So now Jesus is like, okay, all right. Things are about to get heated now. So if you do not have a sword, go and sell your garment and buy yourself a sword. Be armed.
[00:31:04] Says, for I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me. And he was reckoned among the transgressors that are now, I need to be taken away and be reckoned amongst the transgressors and accused with the transgressors, for the things concerning me have an end. And they said, lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, it is enough. He didn't say, okay, don't worry, we're not gonna need them. No, he says, those. We. At least we've got weapons in case things get to that level. In case things get.
[00:31:36] Get out of hand. And you need to defend yourself.
[00:31:40] Oh, okay. Luke 22, 39. And he came out and went out as he. As he was wont to the Mount of Olives. And his disciples also followed him. And. And when he was at the place, he said unto them, pray that ye enter not into temptation. And he was withdrawn from them about a stone cast. And he kneeled down and prayed, saying, father, if you be willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but your will be done by yours. Be done. And there appeared an angel. Oh, look at this beautiful revelation. Hallelujah. So when Jesus was praying, okay, we didn't see it with Matthew and Mark, but we see it here. Luke now gives us this detail that when he was praying, an angel came.
[00:32:24] An angel came unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
[00:32:28] Oh, glory to God. Giving him strength.
[00:32:32] And being in an agony, he prayed more earnestly. Hallelujah. And says, father, may you let this cup pass from me. Hallelujah. But not my will, if it cannot be removed. Not my will, but your will be done. He prayed more earnestly. And he kept the. And remember what Luke and Matthew said. He kept on repeating the prayer. Ah.
[00:32:54] And then he says, and he being in agony, he prayed more earnestly. And his sweat was. Was as it were, great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
[00:33:04] Oh, my goodness. You know, have you ever prayed and your sweat is just. Is dripping like it's a running tap.
[00:33:12] And when he arose up from prayer and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow. And he said unto them, why sleep ye rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation. Okay, and then now we get into the betrayal. Let's go to Matthew.
[00:33:31] We'll come back to this one shortly.
[00:33:34] Let's go back to the.
[00:33:36] And finish the one in Matthew.
[00:33:39] Chloe. Chloe. Chloe. Chloe.
[00:33:43] Matthew 26, verse 47. And while he hits, while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the 12, came with him with a great multitude with swords and staves from the chief priests and the elders of the people.
[00:34:11] Verse 48. And he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he, hold him fast.
[00:34:19] And forthwith he came to Jesus and said, hail, Master. And kissed him, says, hail, Master. And Judas kissed Jesus. Aye. And Jesus said unto him, friend. Oh, Jesus said unto him, friend, wherefore are you come?
[00:34:38] Then came they and laid hands on Jesus and took him. Jesus still called Judas friend, even in the time of his betrayal, says, friend.
[00:34:46] Oh, how touching.
[00:34:49] How touching.
[00:34:51] How touching.
[00:34:53] Verse 51. And behold, one of them which was with Jesus stretched out his hand, and he drew his Sword and struck a servant of the high priest and smote off his ear. Then said Jesus unto him, put up again thy sword into his place.
[00:35:08] For all that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
[00:35:12] Thinks thou that I cannot now pray? You see these the. He told them to go and get swords.
[00:35:19] But you see, the thing is that what you can see that is that the swords was not for his protection. The swords, he says it's for your protection. Okay, so you want to.
[00:35:29] You're going to need this for your own protection. But for me, I. If I need to defend myself, I'll pray.
[00:35:38] There's for me. Do you not think that I cannot pray to my Father? And he shall presently give me more. More than 12 legions of angels.
[00:35:46] Oh, glory to God.
[00:35:49] But how then shall the Scriptures be fulfilled that thus it might be, how then?
[00:35:54] The reason why I'm not going to do that now is so that the Scriptures might be fulfilled. Because if I don't do that, then the Scriptures will not be fulfilled. They won't be able to arrest me, and the Scripture will not be fulfilled. In that same hour, said Jesus to the multitudes, are you come out as against me?
[00:36:10] Out as against a thief with swords and stars for to take me? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, and you laid no hold of me. But all this was done. That the scripture of the prophets might be fulfilled.
[00:36:27] But all this was done. The reason why this is happening in this way is because the Scripture has to be fulfilled.
[00:36:37] And then what happened? Then all the disciples forsook him and fled.
[00:36:41] Master, we will not.
[00:36:46] We will not forsake you. We will not betray, we will not deny you. The Bible says all the disciples forsook him and fled.
[00:36:55] All the disciples forsook him and fled.
[00:36:59] How touching.
[00:37:01] How touching. Heart touching. Heart touching.
[00:37:05] Now let's look at the arrest of Jesus here in Luke.
[00:37:12] The arrest of Jesus.
[00:37:24] The betrayal and arrest of Jesus. Luke 22:47. And while he yet spake, behold a multitude. And he that was called Judas, One of the 12 went before them and drew near to Jesus to kiss him. But Jesus said unto him, judas, betray you. The Son of Man with a kiss says, you betray the Son of man with a kiss.
[00:37:44] Ah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:37:48] Verse 49. When they, when they which were about him, saw what would follow, they said unto him, lord, shall we smite with the sword?
[00:37:58] Then one of them smote the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear. And Jesus answered and said, suffer ye thus far. And he touched his Ear and healed him.
[00:38:09] Oh, imagine just the spectacle of all the events and the things that were happening at the arrest of Jesus and the demonstration of power that was happening in the midst of the violence and this couple. Jesus was still performing. Jesus was still in charge.
[00:38:24] Jesus was showing that I'm still in charge of this environment.
[00:38:28] Because when you. When we look now, when you go. When we go to John's account. When we go to John's account of this, you would actually see what actually happened. You see, we'll go through it, but let's see what happened here. Let's finish this one says, then Jesus said unto the chief priests and the captains.
[00:38:45] Now let's go to verse 51. I like it. And Jesus answered and said, suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear. He touched his ear and healed him.
[00:38:54] Then Jesus said unto the high chief priests and the captains of the temple and the elders.
[00:39:01] The chief priests, the captains of the temple and the elders. All right. The three shepherds remember which were come to him, Says, be ye come out as against a thief with SW swords and staves. Says, when I was with you in the temple, you stretch forth no hands against me, but this is your hour and the power of darkness.
[00:39:23] This is your hour and the power of darkness.
[00:39:30] Did you look at the one in Mark?
[00:39:45] Let's look at the one in Mark. Mark, chapter 14, verse 43.
[00:39:49] And immediately. While yet. While he yet spake, comes Judas, one of the 12, with them great multitude with swords and stars. From the chief priests and the scribes and the elders. The chief priests, the scribes and the elders. Remember, the three shepherds again. They're being revealed here. They're being explored. Expose here from Zechariah's prophecy that shall be cut off in a month. Says, and he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he. Take him and lead him away safely. And as soon as he was come, he got straight away to him and said, master, master, master, master. And kissed him. And they laid their hands on him and took him. And one of them stood by and drew a sword and smote the servant of the high priest and cut off his ear. And Jesus answered and said unto them, are you come out against me as a thief with swords and with staffs to take me? I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and you took me not but that the scriptures must be fulfilled.
[00:40:45] And then all they. And they all forsook him. All the disciples forsook him. He's talking about the Disciples, they forsook him and fled.
[00:40:57] And. And there followed him a certain young man having a linen cloth cast about his naked body. And the young man laid hold on him, and he left the linen cloth and fled from them. Naked there was a young man that fled.
[00:41:14] Okay, let's go to John's account of the John 18:1. And when Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over.
[00:41:34] Over the brook Sidron, where was a garden into the which he entered. And his disciples and Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place. For Jesus oftentimes resorted thither with his disciples.
[00:41:49] Judas then, having received a band of men and officers and chief priests and Pharisees, come there with lanterns, torches and weapons.
[00:41:58] Jesus therefore. Verse 4. Jesus, therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth and said unto them, whom do you seek?
[00:42:11] Oh, glory to God. John's account, I like this one, Then answered him, jesus of Nazareth. Jesus said unto them, I am.
[00:42:23] I am. What is I am.
[00:42:29] I am. That I am. Glory to God.
[00:42:33] This is one of the names that God called himself.
[00:42:37] When Moses said, whom shall I say sent me?
[00:42:41] And then he says, you must go and tell them, I am, that I am.
[00:42:47] And now Jesus answered. He said, he says, I am Kaya. Oh, my goodness, what a day. Says I am. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. And as soon as he had said to them, I am.
[00:43:07] Oh, glory to God.
[00:43:09] Listen, this is a hundred. They said, like hundreds of soldiers.
[00:43:15] Don't mind. You know, the one, the one that they show on the film.
[00:43:20] The one that they show on the film there. All right. With about five or 10 officers.
[00:43:26] There were hundreds.
[00:43:29] There were hundreds.
[00:43:31] If research serves me well, they were. There probably were about over a thousand that they sent that they had.
[00:43:41] But I'll confirm that with you, and I'll share it with you when I confirm it with you. But there were hundreds of them. These soldiers imagine they had surrounded.
[00:43:52] Okay, let's finish. Let's finish it.
[00:43:54] Let's finish it. Verse 6. As soon as he as.
[00:43:59] As he had said, I am says they went backward and fell to the ground he said, I am.
[00:44:11] Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:44:13] Ah, they all fell under the power.
[00:44:17] Oh, glory to God. They fell under the power. When he said, I am they all went backward and they fell under the power.
[00:44:25] Hey, what made.
[00:44:28] What caused all these soldiers? These were hundreds of soldiers.
[00:44:32] They were knocked down.
[00:44:36] They were all knocked down.
[00:44:38] As soon as he had said, I am. Says, whom do you seek?
[00:44:42] They said, jesus of Nazareth. Then he said, I am. You see, your Bible, they will say, I am he, but there was no he there, okay? So you find that. That he. That's why it's in italics, okay? Because the original manuscript, he didn't say, I am he, okay?
[00:45:01] So that's why when you check your Bible, you see that he is in italics.
[00:45:07] Because what he actually said is that I am. Like when he said before, Abraham was, I am.
[00:45:13] What was he saying? He was saying, this is me. I am God.
[00:45:18] I am that I am. I am.
[00:45:26] So there. That's why they put it in italics, because it wasn't there. He actually said, I am referring to Ehe asha e, which is the name that God called himself, okay?
[00:45:38] So there he was, revealing also his deity, okay?
[00:45:48] And as soon as they said unto him, as he said unto them, I am, they went backwards.
[00:45:56] I want you to look at that, to read it and to think about it. They went backwards. Hundreds of soldiers. Imagine. Think about it. Imagine it.
[00:46:06] Imagine it happening.
[00:46:10] Imagine it happening.
[00:46:11] Judas comes, and then he says, master. And then he runs towards Jesus. And then Jesus responds and says, oh, friend, you betray the Son of Man with a kiss. You betray the Son of Man with a kiss. And then Judas came, and then he kisses Jesus. Hallelujah. And then when he kisses Jesus, because Judas has already told them that as soon as I kiss him, he must go out, apprehend him.
[00:46:36] All right? You must go and apprehend him, all right?
[00:46:39] So now the sword comes out.
[00:46:43] Because they rushed him. The sword comes out and the ear of the. One of the soldiers of the chief priest got cut off. And then Jesus picks it, and then he slaps it back on the guy's ear. And then he healed it. And they are all watching, and they are all watching.
[00:47:00] And now they want to. And then Jesus now says to them, whom do you seek? And then they respond, jesus of Nazareth. And then he said, I am He. So all these things, I am He. And then the whole band of them, a whole band of them, they all fall under the power. They all get knocked by the power of God at the same time. As soon as he had said, I am. Hey.
[00:47:27] And then the audacity for them to actually even to get up again.
[00:47:32] And then, you know, Jesus said, I'm not going to call upon the angels now to do their thing.
[00:47:38] And then they apprehended him, and then all the disciples forsook him and fled. So at these times, I always like to sit somewhere in a corner and imagine this event of Jesus betrayal and his arrest and how those events took place. Because sometimes, you know, when you watch the movies, you know, they do such a great and an amazing job to recreate these things for us, you know. But then when you read the Scriptures now, and you allow the scriptures as you meditate on them, you allow, especially during this time, you must go somewhere, go somewhere quiet. And as you read these things now, begin to let the word of God create, recreate the imagery.
[00:48:18] Hallelujah. Of these events and how they happened.
[00:48:22] And then I see now Jesus saying, whom do you seek? Then they say, jesus of Nazareth says, I am. And then they all fall back. Oh, my goodness. Just that vision, just the ability for the Holy Spirit to be able to see you, to show you the depiction of what that was like on that day.
[00:48:49] So he says, he said unto them, I am. He then says, then they went backward and fell to the ground.
[00:48:57] They went backward and they fell under the power. They got knocked by the power of God.
[00:49:03] Verse 7. Then asked ye them again, whom do you seek? And they said, jesus of Nazareth. Jesus answered, I have told you that I am. If therefore you seek me, let these go their way. So he handed them over. He said, okay, cool. You seek me, let the others go away. Okay?
[00:49:19] That the saying might be fulfilled which he spake of them which you gave. Those which you gave me, I have lost none. They which you gave me, I have lost none.
[00:49:32] They which you gave me, I have lost none. Now that is a striking statement. So if he said that, it might be fulfilled which was said that they which he gave me, I have lost none. What happened to Judas?
[00:49:46] What happened to Judas?
[00:49:49] Can I explain to you what happened to Judas? Why Jesus didn't consider that Judas was one that was lost? Okay, let's go to.
[00:50:03] Let's go to John, chapter 17.
[00:50:05] Let's go to John, chapter 17. I'll show you this. I'll read from verse one.
[00:50:13] I'll read from verse one. Now, this is a prayer that he's praying, says these words spake Jesus and lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you as you have given him power over all flesh. That he should give eternal life to as many as you have given him.
[00:50:32] And this is eternal life. Oh, glory to God. And this is eternal life. That you. That you might know you. That they might know you, the only true God in Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
[00:50:45] I have glorified you on the earth. I have finished the work which you have given me. To do. Says I have finished.
[00:50:51] This is before he's gone to the cross. Yeah, even gone to the crosshair. Says, I have finished the work.
[00:50:56] Hey. This is the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. Says I have. Says I finished your work. I finished the work which you gave me to do. Okay? And now, oh Father, glorify you me and with. With your own self.
[00:51:16] With the glory which I had with you before the world was. Imagine. Says before the glory which I had with you before the world was. What is this?
[00:51:28] Okay. Says I have manifested my name unto the men which you gave me out of the world.
[00:51:35] Thine they were. Says they were yours. And you gave them to me. And they have I. And then they have kept your words.
[00:51:45] Verse 7. Now they have not. All things whatsoever you have given me are of you.
[00:51:57] For I have given them your words which you gave me. And they received them. And have known surely that I come out from you and that they have believed.
[00:52:06] And they have believed that you did send me. I pray for them. I pray not for the world, but. But for them that you have given me. For they are yours. All are mine and yours.
[00:52:17] All are yours. And yours are mine. And I'm glorified in them.
[00:52:29] And I'm glorified in them. Verse 11. And now I'm no more in the world. You are still in the world. But now I'm no more in the world. But these are in the world.
[00:52:38] And I come to you. And I come to you, Holy Father. Keep through your own name those whom you have given me, that they may be one as we are. As we. They may be one as we are. Oh, my goodness.
[00:52:51] Hey. What a prayer.
[00:52:54] Verse 12. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in your name. Those that you gave me, I have kept. And none of them I lost.
[00:53:07] And none of them I lost. But the Son of perdition.
[00:53:11] What does he mean? What is he saying?
[00:53:15] What does he mean? What is he saying? Says none of them are lost but the Son of perdition.
[00:53:20] That the Scripture might be fulfilled.
[00:53:24] Ah, listen, listen, listen, listen. I need to share something with you.
[00:53:30] I need to share something with you.
[00:53:33] Look at the relationship that Jesus Christ had with the Scriptures.
[00:53:37] Look at the relationship that the Son of God had with the Scriptures.
[00:53:41] Look at the example that Jesus left us about his relationship with the Scriptures.
[00:53:47] What is he saying regarding the Scriptures? What is he revealing to us regarding the authority and the power of the Scriptures?
[00:54:01] Says I kept them in your name, those that you gave me. I Have kept says and none of them have I lost.
[00:54:07] So what he's saying is that because this, the scripture had been written concerning Judas and the betrayal, so Judas cannot be considered a loss because the scripture had already separated him away from those that you have given me.
[00:54:29] So he's saying that the scripture declared that Judas was not the one that gave. That you gave me, says all those that you gave me, says I lost none. She says, even Judas, even though he was with me, there was nothing that I could do about Judas.
[00:54:46] There was nothing that could happen to reconcerting Judas.
[00:54:50] Because the authority of the scripture could it cannot be overturned. The authority of what the Scripture had said concerning Judas cannot be overturned. So Jesus was saying I couldn't do anything about Judas because of the Scripture. Because of the authority of the Scripture, God cannot do anything. God cannot do anything against the Scripture.
[00:55:16] What does it show you? What does it reveal to you regarding the power of the Scripture?
[00:55:22] Every time Jesus saying so that the scripture must be fulfilled so that all those things that were written might be fulfilled. This is Jesus's relationship with the Scriptures. What is your relationship with the scriptures? How do you relate with the Scriptures?
[00:55:37] Is it just another historical book with your Bible?
[00:55:41] Is it just another book where you say they're just stories? Look at, look at Jesus relationship, Look at his relationship with the scriptures, with the written word.
[00:55:52] Satan comes to Jesus and then he says, if you be the son of God. What was Jesus's response? How did Jesus respond? He said it is written. It is written, says it is written.
[00:56:06] Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceed out of the mouth of God.
[00:56:12] He always referred to the written word. He always referred to the scriptures.
[00:56:16] This is Jesus Christ. The Bible says that he left us an example that we should follow in his steps. But look at you, you now you, you don't even know. You don't even know what books are in in your Bible.
[00:56:30] And you're out there running around chasing for prophets.
[00:56:34] You fool. Fool, fool. Look at this example. Look at the example that Jesus gave us.
[00:56:41] How he depended on the scriptures, how he depended on the written words, how he responded to in the spiritual realm when Satan took him. Satan came and captured him. He didn't say, hey, do you not know that me, I'm the son of.
[00:57:03] He said it is written.
[00:57:06] It is written. It is written. It is written.
[00:57:13] Hey, hey.
[00:57:18] A lot of you Christians, you play with the written words.
[00:57:21] You play with your Bible. You underestimate the, the power and the authority that is in the Bible.
[00:57:29] He says that except the Son of perdition says that the scripture might be fulfilled. Says the scripture. There's nothing that we can do for Judas because of the scripture. It cannot be broken.
[00:57:48] It says all that you gave me I have kept and none of them have I lost but the Son of perdition. That the scripture might be fulfilled.
[00:57:58] That the scripture might be fulfilled.
[00:58:01] That the scripture might be fulfilled.
[00:58:04] What are you basing your life on?
[00:58:07] What are you basing? How are you conducting your life?
[00:58:10] Are you following the example of Jesus?
[00:58:13] Are you following the example of Jesus?
[00:58:16] His life. His life. He always referred back to the scriptures. He said lo, in the volume of the book it is written the volume of the book it is written concerning me. I am come to do thy will, O God.
[00:58:33] And we have people here playing with their Bibles. Christians, children of God. They don't even know they, they're just playing with. They're just out there.
[00:58:41] Ah, they just think it's just. It's just another book.
[00:58:45] It's just another book. Says the word. It is living and active. It is living and active. Ah, it is living and active. Says it is sharper than any two edged sword piercing. It says it is. It says it is more powerful than any man made weapon.
[00:59:02] Oh.
[00:59:05] Says it is sharp. It is deadlier than any man made weapon. Says the word.
[00:59:10] Says it is deadlier. It is. It is more powerful than any man made weapon.
[00:59:16] That is what you mean when it says sharper than any two edged sword. This is any man made weapon. The word of God has got more power. It is more powerful.
[00:59:24] It is sharper, it is more deadlier. It is more dangerous than any man made weapon. The word of God. The scripture is more powerful than any man made weapon.
[00:59:39] And God's children ignore it. God's children play with it. God's children, they don't take it seriously. But you look at the life of Jesus.
[00:59:48] He says that all that you gave me I have kept and none of them have I lost except the Son of perdition. That the scripture might be fulfilled.
[00:59:57] The life of Jesus.
[00:59:59] It was all about the scripture. It was all about the scripture. Remember? That's why when Moses is dead, God comes to Joshua and he says this book of the law says it shall not depart from out of your mouth but you shall meditate.
[01:00:13] Hey, listen. There is no new formula. There is no new way. There is no new way about how to be successful in the things of God. There is no new formula. There's no new realm. There's no new way of Being at the top, there's only one way. That is the way of the Word. That is the way of the Word.
[01:00:37] He says, you err because you know not the scripture nor the power of God.
[01:00:42] Says, that's why you go in your life, it's an error. Your life is an error.
[01:00:47] You don't know where you're going. You don't know. You don't know where you're coming from. You don't know your life, you don't know what's going on. Says you are in error. Your life is just an error. You err. Says, because you do not know the scriptures.
[01:00:59] This is Jesus says, because you know not the scriptures. And then he says, know the authority. Know the power of the scriptures.
[01:01:06] The authority of God. The power of God that is in the scriptures. Says, you know not the scriptures, not the power of God. What is he telling you? He's telling you that the scriptures.
[01:01:14] The scriptures. Scriptures contain.
[01:01:17] The scriptures contain the power of God. The scriptures have in them the authority of God. The scriptures, he says, I lost none.
[01:01:32] Allah says that the scripture might be fulfilled.
[01:01:35] Listen. Listen.
[01:01:37] All these things, all these things that you see, they are all subject to change. Do you understand? They are all subject to change.
[01:01:47] The governments, the systems of the world, they are all subject to change.
[01:01:51] Those that are at the top and those that are not at the top, those that are raining in life, it is all subject to change. Everything that you can see, it is all subject to change. There is only one thing. There is only one thing that will never change. And that is the written word of God. The word of God is never going to change. He says heaven and earth will pass away. He says, but my words will by no means pass away.
[01:02:14] He says thy word. It is settled. It is settled in heaven. O God, your word is settled in heaven. Your word, the word of God is settled in heaven. Kingdoms have come and they have gone. But the scriptures haven't changed. Presidents have come and presidents have gone, but the scriptures haven't changed.
[01:02:32] Men have come. Kingdoms have risen and kingdoms have fallen. But the scriptures haven't changed.
[01:02:43] Your children may change. Your spouse may change.
[01:02:46] Your parents may change. Your brothers may change. Your friends may change. Your job may change. That company might change.
[01:02:53] The economy of the land might change. But the scriptures, they never change.
[01:02:58] They never change. Glory to God. God.
[01:03:04] Oh my goodness.
[01:03:06] It doesn't matter what things look like. I'm in the scriptures. I'm in the scriptures.
[01:03:15] I will at last this economy. I would at last. I would at last everything. Why? Because I'm in the Scriptures. Listen. I was born of the Scripture. I'm a product of the Scripture. I can never fail because I'm a product of the Scripture. I can never fail because I follow the example of Jesus.
[01:03:33] Hallelujah.
[01:03:35] As I follow the Scripture, as I follow the things that are written, I'm a success. I'm a success. I'm a success. Yes, I'm a success.
[01:03:46] Why? Because the Scripture said so.
[01:03:52] It says, says, ye are of God, little children, and you have overcome them. Why? Because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world says, thanks be unto God. Hallelujah. Who causes us to triumph in Christ. He causes me to triumph.
[01:04:10] I'm victorious. Why? Because the Scriptures say so. Everything is going to change, but the Scripture is never going to change. Hallelujah. Give your life to the Scriptures. Give your life to the written Word of God. Be like Jesus. Follow the example of Jesus. Everything is going to change.
[01:04:30] But those like what Jesus said, those that build their house, those that build, the people that build their life on Christ or on the Scriptures and on the Word of God says they're like a house that is built on a rock, like their house.
[01:04:46] When you build your life with the Word with the Scriptures says you're like that one that builds his life on a rock. And when the winds and the waves come, his house is going to remain standing. But the one that doesn't build on the rock, which is Christ, which is the word of God, which is the Scripture says he's like a person, a man who built his house on sand.
[01:05:11] All other ground is sinking sand.
[01:05:14] All other ground is sinking sand.
[01:05:18] All other ground is sinking sand.
[01:05:24] All other ground is sinking sand.
[01:05:28] Get to the Scriptures.
[01:05:30] Study the Scriptures. Build your life on the Scriptures. All other grounds, it is sinking sand.
[01:05:38] The Bible says the prophecies are going to cease, the miracles are going to cease.
[01:05:44] All these things are going. Tongues are going to cease.
[01:05:48] But the Word is eternal.
[01:05:52] The Word, the Scripture is eternal.
[01:05:57] That is the glory that he's talking about, saying that that glory that I had with you before the foundation of the world.
[01:06:05] What? Give me that glory. What did he mean that now I'm coming unto you so that you may give me that glory that I had with you from before the foundation of the world. Before the world was. What is that glory? He says, how was he with you? He says, in the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with God.
[01:06:27] And the Word was God.
[01:06:30] That is the glory says that. Restore unto me that glory that I was from with you from before the foundation of the world.
[01:07:10] Glory to God says that the Scripture might be fulfilled. There is nothing I could do about Judas.
[01:07:18] That is what Jesus said says, I have lost none. All that you gave me, I've lost none. But there was nothing I could do about Judas because it was already written concerning him.
[01:07:29] So whatever you decide, you just. I'm going to leave you this as a takeaway. And then tomorrow we're going to look at the trial of Jesus Christ.
[01:07:39] When Jesus was tried.
[01:07:41] We'll take it up from there. So we've looked at the betrayal. We looked at the prophecy of the betrayal in part one and this part two. We looked at the events of the betrayal and his arrest.
[01:07:53] And then tomorrow we're going to look at the trial of Jesus.
[01:07:58] But stop wasting time.
[01:08:02] Stop wasting your life on things that don't matter.
[01:08:07] Get to the Scriptures.
[01:08:09] Get to the Word of God.
[01:08:11] Imbibe, digest, learn the Scriptures.
[01:08:15] Put your life, abandon your whole life onto the Scriptures. Trust in the Scriptures.
[01:08:21] It doesn't matter what it looks like. It doesn't matter what people will say.
[01:08:25] It doesn't matter what it. But trust me, trust me in this. You don't even have to trust me. Trust God is the right thing. Trust God, trust the Scriptures.
[01:08:38] That is where Jesus Christ put his trust.
[01:08:42] He put his trust in the fulfillment of the Scriptures.
[01:08:46] That is what he had.
[01:08:49] What you have with you now, the Word of God, the Gospel of Christ and the Scriptures and the written word. Jesus had the same thing. And Jesus Christ gave his life to the Word of God.
[01:09:01] And he followed those things that were written concerning him.
[01:09:04] And there are things that have been written concerning you.
[01:09:12] What is going to happen if you don't know them?
[01:09:15] What is going to happen if you do not even understand them? What kind of life are you going to live?
[01:09:24] There are things that have been written concerning you as a child of God.
[01:09:28] And if you are not a child of God, listen, the Scripture cannot be broken. There are also things that are written concerning you for not being a child of God.
[01:09:42] And those things cannot be changed.
[01:09:44] And trust me, they are going to come to pass. They are going to happen.
[01:09:48] These scriptures have been proven. The prophecies came to pass.
[01:09:52] The prophecies of Jesus Christ. Everything, thousands of prophecies that were written concerning him came to pass. They came to pass. They happened.
[01:10:03] It is he that believes in me, as the Scriptures have said, even every time.
[01:10:10] What kind of life is this? Says he that believes in me, as the Scriptures have said.
[01:10:16] So the Scriptures say That there are those that are going to believe in him. Are you that one that the scripture has been talking about that are going to believe in him? That are going to believe in Jesus Christ says, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
[01:10:33] There are things that have been written concerning those that believe in Jesus. And remember, there are also things that have been written of those who do not believe.
[01:10:42] Says, he that believeth not shall be damned.
[01:10:46] That is going to come to pass. Make sure that you're on the right side of that scripture. Make sure that you find yourself on the right side of the Scriptures. Says, he that believes shall be saved. Says, but he that believes not shall be damned. Which part of the scripture do you want to be?
[01:11:04] Because let me tell you, kingdoms have come and gone. Kings have come, they've risen and fallen. People, nations like champions, rulers, they've come wealthy people, rich people, they've come and they've gone. And the scripture. Scriptures are the only thing that have remained. And the scriptures are the only thing that they are eternal.
[01:11:25] The scriptures existed before the foundation of the world. That is what Jesus is saying here.
[01:11:35] Before the Word. These things that you see, before they came into existence, the Scripture existed.
[01:11:46] So all these things that you see, all these events that took place that didn't take place because of the things that were that. That appeared.
[01:11:57] The Scripture, before the foundation of the world, the scripture had already been determined the Scripture had already been determined and written and established before this physical world came into existence.
[01:12:10] He says, restore me to the glory that I had with you before the foundation of the world. What is he talking about?
[01:12:18] His estate. And his estate as the Word of God.
[01:12:25] He says, in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God. And when he comes in Revelations, chapter nine, when he comes again and he's riding on the horse and on his thighs written a name. And he says his name is. Is called the Word of God.
[01:12:41] So stop, go to the scriptures. Give your life to the scriptures.
[01:12:49] You will never regret it. Give your life to the scriptures and prayer. The scriptures and prayer. The scriptures and prayer. The scriptures and prayer. Don't look to the left. Don't look to the right. You give yourself to the scriptures and prayer. The scriptures and prayer.
[01:13:08] The scriptures and prayer. You are there. You're in the scriptures. What does it say? It says I must do that. I must go that way. Okay, I'm going to go that way. In prayer.
[01:13:19] The scriptures and prayer.
[01:13:22] That was the life of Jesus. That is the example of Jesus.
[01:13:26] The scriptures and prayer. Prayer.
[01:13:32] Glory to God. My name is Shingi. I'll stop it right there. I'll leave you with that, you know, for thoughts, you know. And tomorrow we're back again, and we're getting into the passion that is the trial. Glory to God. The passion, which is. We're going into the trial. All right, so we look at part one and part two of the betrayal. We looked at the prophecy. Then we look at the actual betrayal, the fulfillment of that prophecy and the betrayal of Jesus Christ. And then tomorrow, we'll be looking at the trial of Jesus. Jesus before the council, before the Roman leaders, before the council, before he goes to court and he's tried. Glory to God.
[01:14:10] And.
[01:14:11] Yeah, My name is Shingi. I love you. I trust that you're blessed. And remember that this is water.
[01:14:19] Sa.
